2025 API Scholarship Application is Open for Medical Laboratory Students!

American Proficiency Institute (API) is offering four $5000 scholarships to rising junior and/or rising senior level Clinical Laboratory Science students!

After granting close to 80 scholarships to clinical laboratory science students over the past 17 years, American Proficiency Institute continues this storied scholarship opportunity to stand out students in their rising junior and/or senior years. "American Proficiency Institute takes seriously the nation’s need for qualified medical laboratory scientists,” explained Sue Harmer, API President. “It is heartening to see the success of past API Scholarship recipients and their contributions to the clinical laboratory,” noted Harmer, herself a medical technologist. “Supporting the next generation of laboratorians is a responsibility we hold dearly.”

Applications are now being accepted for this amazing scholarship opportunity! Interested students can find the application on our API website scholarship page here. Students should apply by April 23, 2025.

Students may submit their application via email or mail as an alternative to the online form. A PDF application form is available here. Emailed or mailed application submissions must be dated or postmarked by April 23, 2025 and emailed to skingsley@api-pt.com or mailed to API Scholarship, 1159 Business Park Drive, Traverse City, MI 49686.

Scholarship awardees will be notified by May 23, 2025.
